Product description

The Carotid Bifurcation model starts from the common carotid and splits into the external and intewrnal carotids.The internal carotid swells to 9.6mm,simulating a bulge of artery.It's designed mainly for stent graft therapy.

We offer stabilizing platforms and adjustable straps to secure the vessel for anatomical flexibility.Small portable suitcase is also available to protect the model during shipping,travel and storage.

This vessel was constructed from angiographic and CT data to provide a realistic environment for the simulation of endovascular procedures, pre-surgery planning,studies and teaching purpose.

The carotid bifurcation is the point at which the common carotid artery terminates.As it does so,it forms the internal and external carotid arteries which go on to supply the head and neck.


It is closely related anatomically to the carotid body,a small group of chemoreceptors and supporting matrix that reacts to the change in the composition of the blood flowing through the bifurcation.

What information is needed for custom silicone vessel orders?

If able, please have ready a drawing or blueprint of your vessel concept including; overall dimensions, inner diameters, compliance, and reference images (Ex. Dicom, CT, X-Ray, CAD, Hand Drawings). If a multi-dimensional (as opposed to a vessel which lays flat) vessel is desired, dimensions should include all three XYZ angles. Request a custom vessel using our custom vessel order form.

Can you tell me more about the interior diameters of your vessels?

Diameters given are measured in one direction only. Many of our vessels are not ideal cylinders because they are based off of real human vasculature. Therefore, diameters on some of our vessels change depending on the axis of measurement.

How do you make your vessels?

Vascular models are developed from approximations of angiographic and computed tomography data.Many of our models are created using one specific patient’s anatomy, while others are constructed from an averaged combination of multiple medical image sources. Our process allows us to create a wide range of both simple and complex vessel models.The models do not exactly replicate the specific diameters, bend radii,or three-dimensional spatial positioning of the anatomical source information used.
